Hello, I’m Dee-Cee and I’m passionate about books and reading. I live in Scotland with my other half, our 4 children and numerous animals.
I’ve always been passionate about books and have loved reading since a young age and have great memories of sitting on a Sunday afternoon reading The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe to my Granny. I spent a lot of time in the library growing up, I loved to look through all the shelves and would often leave with an arm full of books.
I love a wide variety of genres and tend to listen to audio books during the day and read either my kindle or physical books in the evening. I’ve always been a huge crime/thriller fan but over the years I’ve found a love for fantasy, romance {the spicier the better} and YA.
This year I’ve set my reading goal for 90 books, last year it was 100 and I found myself sitting just before the bells finishing my book to reach my goal. I’m also a member of 4 online book clubs this year which I’m loving, each one reads a different genre and I often find I’m reading books that I wouldn’t normally pick up so it’s good to get me out my comfort zone sometimes.
My collection of books is growing rapidly and I’m an absolute sucker for a pretty book, sprayed edges, stencilled edges, special editions, i want to collect them all and love taking photos of them along with reviewing them on Instagram which you can see here www.instagram.com/itsallaboutthebooksuk I also love chatting books so please feel free to reach out for a natter.
