It’s an absolute pleasure this Monday to be sharing my review of We Can See You by Simon Kernick as part of the blog tour. Huge thanks to the publishers for the invite and copy of the book.
About the book
You have it all. Success, a beautiful home, a happy family.
Until, in a heartbeat, it’s gone.
We’ve kidnapped your daughter, and we know everything about you. Including the dark secrets from your past you thought were forgotten.
We tell you not to contact the police – and that we’ll know if you do. Because we can see you.
And now you know this is no ordinary abduction. It’s worse. Within hours you’re on the run, with only one thought in your head:
That you will stop at nothing to get your daughter back.
Even murder…

My thoughts
Imagine returning home to find that your daughter has been taken, the nanny is missing too and a note has been left saying you must follow instructions, do not contact the police and WE CAN SEE YOU. Its a parents worst nightmare but that’s exactly what happens to Brook and what follows is an intense and highly addictive read.
Brook was a fantastic character, strong, determined and she had a fire in her belly. She was determined to find out what happened to her daughter and she wasn’t scared to fight to get her back.
Told in alternating chapters between Brook and Detectives Tyrone Giant and Jenna King I really enjoyed seeing the story play out this way. My heart was in my mouth a lot of the time for Brook and as she was being interviewed by the police I couldn’t help getting that sinking feeling when you know that things just really don’t look good what so ever.
We Can See You is a fast-paced story that had me turning the pages desperate, almost like a crazy lady, to find out what the heck was going to happen next. The tension builds with each turn of the page and with twists and turns galore and secrets being revealed it’s an edge of your seat kind of read and very addictive.
From page one I was well and truly hooked, this is the first book I’ve read by this author and what an intense and knicker gripping read it is, I couldn’t put it down and will be definitely buying more books by this author and highly recommending We Can See You.

It’s honestly so good, I can’t believe I’ve not read any of his books before but that will be sorted soon.
