Description – You never know what’s happening on the other side of the wall.
Your neighbour told you that she didn’t want your six-month-old daughter at the dinner party. Nothing personal, she just couldn’t stand her crying.
Your husband said it would be fine. After all, you only live next door. You’ll have the baby monitor and you’ll take it in turns to go back every half hour.
Your daughter was sleeping when you checked on her last. But now, as you race up the stairs in your deathly quiet house, your worst fears are realized. She’s gone.
You’ve never had to call the police before. But now they’re in your home, and who knows what they’ll find there.
What would you be capable of, when pushed past your limit?

My thoughts – To be totally honest when I first saw this book I thought, oh another missing child story but for some reason I had to request it and I’m so pleased I did.
Imagine coming home and finding your baby missing, she was there safe and sound the last time you checked. Imagine the emotion and guilt you would feel, well that is just how Anne and Marco Conti feel after returning from an evening next door. What sounds like a simple kidnapping/missing child story is in fact full of twists and turns, I was left open mouthed so many times through this book it’s like a whirlwind and there’s so much tension and emotion.
The author has done a fantastic job of writing a story that keeps you gripped, I was turning pages right into the small hours desperate to find out what happened next. Always trying to guess how the story was going to unfold and being wrong each time.
I’m keeping this review short as I don’t want to give anything away, so all I will say is that this is a captivating, thought provoking, unputdownable, gripping book that I will highly recommend. Just make sure you have some uninterrupted peace as I can guarantee you will not want to put this book down once you start.
My rating 4.5/5
